Our Children’s Day program 2022 is a week long activity, organized by the Children’s ministry of the Methodist Church Nigeria Ikenne Remo circuit and the Olusoga and Alaba Sonoiki (OAS) foundation. A lot of activities have been held including a prayer session and a live feast that was led by The Presbyter Rev Olusola.

Children’s Day marks an important event that focuses on children and the need to ensure young children are nurtured from childhood and also giving them the freedom to dream and achieve greater heights. The day is also aimed at ensuring children have access to basic amenities to survive and grow into responsible adults. In addition it also ensures that Children’s rights are taken care of and protected. 

The OAS foundation is working with the MCN children’s church to lay a good foundation of discipline, honesty and sincerity as well as inculcating the love of God into our youth. 

Our topic for discussion for the Children’s Day program is to give the youth the freedom to explore their interests and attain success in the pursuit of their education. 

We are also focusing on teaching the children to be able to find a safe space and someone that they can confide in when they see something going wrong either with them, or if they observe something going wrong around then. 

Hence we tell the children “when you see something, say something“
